Quick Take: The Devil's Backbone

Never seen this before and I wish I hadn't. Crawls at a snail's pace, incredibly boring, could care less about any of the annoying characters, and I could call what was going to happen next quite easily. What was a 100 minute film felt like 3 hours. At least there was multiple child death in it. And if this wasn't on 35mm, I'd be even more angry about it.

Screening Check: Suspiria (uncut and in Italian)

I first saw this over twenty years ago and hated it. So I figure to give it another go being on 35mm. Guess what? Still hate it. The print looked amazing, but that's all it had going for it. Extremely slow paced, not much happens, and I was utterly bored to tears. Folks say it's Argento's best, but I must vehemently protest. I even had to shush some hood rat woman for speaking extremely loud with retarded comments like, "Oh my god, she's bleeding!" It was a Key and Peele sketch come to life. Luckily she and her man left shortly after I shushed her dumb ass. May she get Ebola.
