Schlock - O - Rama 2018, Quick Takes

So, courageous Carl took a trip out to the Mahoning Drive In to spend a couple of nights watching schlock projected on the big screen from 35mm prints. He must have had a good time, as his comments are brief. Read On!

Night 1, film 1- I Bury the Living.

Kind of a confusing film, but it has the dad from Dennis The Menace, and the print was flawless.

Night 1, film 2- Carnival of Souls- always hated this one, and it still goes. Fantastic print, though.

Night 1, film 3- Day The World Ended- really enjoyed this one, though a big fog started to roll in, and got progressively worse as the film wore on.

Night 1, film 4- The Brain Eaters- fog was so bad, it was just a bunch of moving shapes. Sounded action packed and exciting, though. Bummed I couldn't fully see this one.

Night 2, film 1- Dementia 13- never cared for this one, and still don't. This was my nap film.

Night 2, film 2- The Slime People- really enjoyed this monster flick.

Night 2, film 3- Guru, The Mad Monk- great to see this Milligan outing on 35mm. Enjoyed this one as well.

Night 2, film 4- The Undertaker and His Pals- great to see this on 35mm. Good. Silly, gory fun
